As any grower with certain experience will understand, calcium deficiencies are fixed by adding calcium and mg, a mixture that helps reestablishing the ideal nutritional balance of plants.

So in this case, an increase in dimensions could be a clear indicator of this supplementation of calcium and magnesium, which is done in order to remedy that macronutrient shortage during growth. This has no effect on the crop's potential for sprouting, growth, flowering, or harvest, nor on the formation of the organoleptic qualities of the buds (scent, flavour and effect).

So we can confidently say that this difference is simply visual. The shape of cannabis seeds

Cannabis seeds can also display slight changes at morphological level. It's completely normal to see minor differences in the elliptical shape of seeds from the same batch.

In some instances their shape is more linear; whereas in others one of the tips can be rounded whilst the other is more tapered. But this is no cause for concern: as with dimensions, these slight variations in the contour of the seeds are merely visual and have no relation to do with quality.

However, a greenish colour is a clear sign of underdevelopment, which means that the seed has not developed fully or it has not received all the necessary resources to attain full maturity. In this specific case, if you buy seeds with this color you need to contact your supplier immediately and try to have them substituted.

Another factor that can be misleading is the fact that a ripe, freshly-harvested cannabis seed has a brighter and darker colour than after it's been stored for one to two months.
