What to Expect

Your journey to newfound confidence begins with a comprehensive consultation with one of our expert liposuction surgeons. During this consultation, we will thoroughly explain the surgical liposuction procedure, discuss the potential benefits, and ensure you have all the information needed to make an informed decision. We will also examine the areas of body fat you are concerned about, assess your suitability for liposuction surgery, and determine what may or may not be possible based on your existing shape, skin, and fat levels.

Following your consultation, you will be introduced to your dedicated patient coordinator, who will be your point of contact throughout your journey, ensuring you feel supported and informed every step of the way.

Your traditional liposuction procedure will take place in our hospital. Here’s what to expect:

Admission: You will arrive at the hospital an hour before your scheduled surgery time. The team will record your blood and prep you for surgery.

Preparation: You will meet with your anaesthetist and surgeon to any last-minute questions or . photos will be taken, and the areas to be treated will be marked.

Anaesthesia: Traditional liposuction is usually carried out under general anaesthesia.

Fat Removal: The targeted areas are injected with a solution containing anaesthetic and medication to reduce blood loss, bruising, and swelling. Fat cells are then broken up using high-frequency vibrations, a weak laser pulse, or a high-pressure water jet. A small incision is made, and a suction tube attached to a vacuum machine is inserted. The surgeon moves the tube back and forth to loosen excess fat and suck it out.Completion: The treated areas are bandaged, and a drain may be to manage excess fluid post-procedure. You will be fitted with a support garment to help reduce swelling and then moved to a recovery room.

After your procedure, you will stay at the hospital for a few hours to ensure you are medically stable. You will be released with an plan detailing your recovery. Here’s what you can expect during recovery:

Follow-Up Appointments: A follow-up appointment with a nurse will be scheduled to check your wounds (typically 4-14 days post-procedure). Another appointment with your surgeon will occur around 6 weeks post-procedure to assess your results.

Bruising and swelling should reduce within 6 weeks, and you will start to see the results. The treated area will appear slimmer and more contoured within several months. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle with exercise and a balanced diet is crucial to preserve your results.

Vaser Liposuction

Vaser Liposuction uses ultrasound energy to help liquefy the fat before it is removed. It is usually performed under local anaesthetic or sedation. Vaser Liposuction is not as invasive as Traditional and involves minimal downtime with less risk of bruising and swelling. Most patients can return to work and their daily routines a lot post-procedure.

Micro Lipo

You are likely to see results immediately after your Liposuction procedure, however, you will be required to wear a compression garment after surgery, so you may not be able to see straight away. Bruising and swelling may occur, which can alter the appearance of your results slightly.
